Bronwen loves to communicate the heart of God and invite others in to a deeper intimacy with Him for themselves. She speaks on many topics and shares her story to demonstrate that triumph over adversity is possible. As a wife, mother of three teenage daughters ,community leader, mentor, motivational speaker and author Bronwen brings about real, positive change and has pioneered outreach for some of the community’s most vulnerable and often forgotten members.
Gershon Nimbalker is the Advocacy Manager at Baptist World Aid Australia, chair of Stop the Traffik’s Australian working group and policy coordinator for Micah Australia. He is the project coordinator and one of the lead authors of the Australian Fashion Report and Electronics Industry Trends reports, world leading research that examines the practices of corporations around the world to mitigate the risk of slavery and exploitation. Recently Gershon has been an instrumental voice in seeing Australia move closer to establishing a robust Modern Slavery Act. Gershon has a passion for seeing Christians and the Church live out their call to do justice, and for last 8 years has dedicated much of his energy to seeing this happen. He has degrees in Business and Commerce and a Masters in Social Change and Development with merit from Newcastle University.
Karen is the National Director and the WA State Director for Baptist Women’s Ministry. She is also currently the deputy chair of the Willow Creek Australia Board and a Director on the Transform Aid International Board. With a Teaching background, Karen has held many leadership roles including Senior Pastor - Whitford Church, Executive Director - Global Leadership Summit Asia and more recently an Executive Minister - Riverview Church. Karen is a gifted communicator and author. She speaks in a relational and often humorous way that connects with many different audiences. Her passion is in seeing people grow and live life to the fullest.
Charissa Steffens is a teacher, writer, and speaker. Currently she is completing a Master of Arts in Christian Studies. She is the former editor of Indulge Magazine and still enjoys writing about faith and family at her blog She Matters (www.shematters.com.au). Charissa is actively involved as an elder and leader at Nexus Church in Brisbane. She has two precious children and has been married to David for many a moon. She loves cooking shows and a great hot coffee!
Sally Contessi is the state leader for QB Kids & their Families. She is married to Tyler, and they both attend Forest Lake Baptist church, where she works as their kids & family ministry coordinator. She is also a part time registered nurse. Sally is passionate about kids & their families knowing Jesus personally, and His plan and purpose for their lives.
